G.K.M. Tamil Kumaran Wins Big In Producers Council Election

The election to select new office bearers of the Tamil Film Producers Council for the 2026–2029 term was held at a private college in Anna Nagar, Chennai.

Since the current team’s term ends in April and this election was considered very important. It was conducted under the supervision of retired Justice Rajeshwaran.

Out of 1524 members 1171 voted. Rajinikanth and Mysskin also came to cast their votes.

In the presidential race G.K.M. Tamil Kumaran from the Welfare team won with 788 votes while Thenandal Murali got 241 votes. The big margin showed strong support for Kumaran.

Subash Chandrabose won as treasurer and Sujatha Vijayakumar became joint secretary. The new team will take charge after April and serve until 2029.
